Job Brief:

The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This position will work closely with the Controller and other members of the finance team to manage accounting processes, analyze financial data, and provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities. The Assistant Controller will also interact with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and best practices.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Controller to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the finance team
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as QuickBooks or SAP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
