- Maintain patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate, including entering patient information into electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining pre-authorizations as needed
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment, including medical supplies and equipment
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, including filing, data entry, and scanning documents
Requirements and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures preferred
