  • Educate patients and families about medical procedures and diagnoses in a way suited to the child's development
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for patients and families
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of patient care

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in child development, psychology, or a related field
  • Preferred Child Life Specialist (CCLS) certification
  • Prior experience working with children and families in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • In-depth knowledge of child development and age-appropriate interventions
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
